Recruitment Underway for Edmonds Arts Festival Co-Director of Parking and Transportation
Planning is underway for the 67th annual Edmonds Arts Festival (EAF), scheduled for June 14-16, 2024, presenting a unique opportunity to join an established and high-functioning volunteer organization, strongly supported by the Edmonds community. The Festival has grown to be one of the most prestigious arts events in the country, produced entirely by community volunteers as the primary fundraiser for the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation (EAFF). This is a non-profit organization that gives back to the community in the form of grants, scholarships, community art and support of art-related organizations.
Off-site parking and transportation for over 160 selected artists who display and sell their original work on the Frances Anderson Field is a priority for the Festival’s Board of Directors. We are looking for someone to join the current experienced Parking and Transportation Director. The ideal candidate needs no prior relative experience and will possess leadership and organizational skills to help ensure that this part of the Festival runs smoothly. The co-director will be a member of the Festival’s Board of Directors which meets on the last Wednesday evening of each month, September – October and January – June, interacting with other directors and having the opportunity to become acquainted and engaged with Festival artists and to interact with attendees.
Directorship responsibilities include executing the contract for off-site parking, reserving vans to use as artist shuttles, hiring and scheduling van drivers, developing and managing a budget, attending board meetings, supervising the off-site parking. and being available for a limited number of Festival preparation days, in addition to the Friday – Sunday Festival.
