Art Instruction Grant Application
Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation (EAFF) Grants Committee is pleased to present the Art Instruction Grant Application.
Purpose: To create visual arts education opportunities for all students.
Visual Arts: Two- and Three-Dimensional works of art not exclusive of technology.
Proposal Specifications:
- EAFF monetary requests do not exceed $1,500 (may be combined with financial support from other entities shown in proposal).
- Projects are designed to benefit students/school art programs within the boundaries of the Edmonds School District. They may benefit: a single classroom, multiple classrooms, department, school, or district wide.
- Proposals have realistic goals that can be successfully completed.
Grant Timeline:
- Application must be submitted online by filling out the application below** by November 15th.
- Final report must be submitted online by filling out the application below** within two weeks following completion of project. (Missing reports will influence future grant awards.)
- Notification of awards follow EAFF committee review, approximately 4 weeks after deadline.
Grant Requirements:
- Funds are to be spent within the current school year.
- Contract must be signed by applicant, check payee (if not applicant), school principal, and any paid guest artist/s.
- Requests for transportation costs should clearly show method of transport and cost per student/classroom, etc.
- Costs of substitutes will be considered with appropriate documentation.
Award Criteria:
Grants will be awarded to projects/programs that directly benefit students’ visual arts education. Consideration will be given to applications that include any/all of the following:
- Utilize community visual art resources, such as mentors, cultural resources, and guest artist interaction.
- Emphasize the process in creating a work of art.
- Contribute to sustainable activities in the classroom, including teacher training.
- Support the WA State Visual Arts Learning Standard/s for participating grade level. Here are the latest learning standards for visual arts. (Listing the grade level and Anchor Standard number/s is all that needs to be listed on application).
