The Place for Art Group Exhibitions

Arts Festival Gallery

The Arts Festival Gallery functions as a showcase for various local and regional art entities. These groups can curate their own shows, present their organization’s mission, provide information on upcoming events and ongoing programs, and if applicable, the requirements for becoming a member. In addition to groups the Foundation has historically supported – i.e.  Edmonds Sculptor’s Workshop and Edmonds Arts Studio Tour, the space will host other coalitions of artists with visual presentations to inspire and educate community members. Exhibits rotate every 4 to 6 weeks.

Gallery Location: Frances Anderson Center 700 Main Street Edmonds, WA 98020 Please do not send mail to this address.

Hours: Monday–Friday: 9 am–7 pm & Saturday: 10 am–1 pm closed Sundays

Sculptors Workshop – BLUE

BLUE Exhibit

The theme for the April-May 2024 Gallery Show title is the color BLUE. It seems simplistic. However, it is proving to be a complex one for the Potters and Sculptors of Sculptors Workshop. A new way of thinking. A new puzzle. BLUE

This year’s theme is the color BLUE. There are thrown and hand built, functional pieces, as well as sculptures. Denise Heekin has created 2 boats including animals. Figurative works by Janet Still and Julie Gibson relate to blue as emotion, from grieving-sad to joyous. Vivian Stanton has created a stunning geometrical vase; Kristi Silver made a lovely patterned vase. Marty Pace made a wall mounted vase. Also included are animals, mask, a tree and, an historical-comment piece. All Blue. Other artists are also represented.

To purchase a piece of art or find out more about joining the workshop, contact Janet Still at stillstudio@comcast or call Janet at 425-877-8587.

Colored Pencil Society of America Seattle Chapter

Core Expressions: An Exhibition of Colored Pencil Art

The district chapter 207 of Seattle is proud to be part of The Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) which is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 dedicated to promoting colored pencil as a fine art medium. As Fine artists, we have worked alongside the organization to elevate the medium through education and innovation of this versatile and colorful medium.

No longer a sketching tool, the colored pencil has come into its own. Viewers of works in this medium frequently proclaim, “I can’t believe it’s colored pencil!” The wax or oil based pencil can achieve the painterly effects of oil, airbrush, watercolor or pastel.

Dates: 12/6/23 through 3/2/24
