“Earth and Sky” in the Center Gallery
A photographic journey through the heavens, the natural world, and human creation
EDMONDS, WA — The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation is proud to present “Earth and Sky”, a new exhibition at the Center Gallery featuring the stunning photographic work of Nathaniel Paust, on display through December 2025.
For nearly two decades, Nathaniel Paust has called Edmonds home. A native of the Pacific Northwest, his fascination with photography began in his youth in Alaska, capturing the grandeur of untamed landscapes. Ironically, it was a failed attempt to photograph a lunar eclipse during college that ignited a lifelong passion—shifting his focus from photography to observational astronomy, and ultimately blending the two disciplines into a unique visual language.
Paust’s artistic journey has taken him across the country—from the dramatic skies of the American Southwest to the coastal charm of New England—each new landscape adding depth and perspective to his work. “Earth and Sky” showcases digital images across three central themes:
The Sky — celestial wonders from eclipses and auroras to the graceful motion of the stars.
The Natural World — intimate portraits of wildlife and rugged terrain.
The Built World — striking studies of human-made structures, exploring how they evolve, decay, and merge back into nature.
When he’s not behind the lens, Nathaniel can often be spotted around Edmonds playing pickleball or walking his two English Cream golden retrievers. He also serves as the Volunteer Manager of the Center Gallery.
The Center Gallery, located in the Frances Anderson Center (700 Main Street, Edmonds), is open Monday–Friday 9 AM–8 PM and Saturday 10 AM–2 PM (closed Sundays). Operated year-round by the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, the gallery provides a vibrant venue for artists to share their work and for the community to experience, learn from, and be inspired by the arts.
Show runs through December 31st, 2025.
