This year we have a great array of professional artists making fine art with the children: Joan Engelmeyer, Seattle artist and owner/teacher of City Art Farm for kids, Tere Ryder, award-winning artist, and Gayle Ketzel, Edmonds artist and photographer. Projects that will be offered are bird houses; reticulated movable figures; zines; ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and ACEOs; artist’s books; sculptures; duct tape coin purses, key chains, and bracelets; scratch art; spirit houses; and of course, many original illustrations after the Masters to color and paint. Ms. Engelmeyer will also be assisting participants in chalk drawings. The children will be working in collage, assemblage, sculpture, dry media, and painting.
The Kids’ Creative Corner will be open all three days of the Festival during festival hours.
