Who we are?
Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation & Museum
In 1979 the Edmonds Arts Festival Museum (now Foundation) was created as a non-profit entity responsible for developing avenues to assist in local arts education.
The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and the cultural enrichment of our community through the arts.
As a dynamic force in promoting the arts, the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation envisions a vibrant arts community in which every person has the opportunity to access and appreciate the arts.
What we do?
The EAF Museum Gallery showcases Northwest artists and as a part of the Frances Anderson Cultural Center, it allows the Foundation the opportunity to provide arts education to Edmonds.
The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation annually provides post-secondary education visual arts scholarships to outstanding students, age 17 or older, who currently have a permanent address within the boundaries of the Edmonds School District. Those students who reside within the boundaries of the school district but are educated through other programs than the public schools are also welcome to apply. The applicant must be pursuing full time post-secondary education in the visual arts at an accredited art school, college or university in the next academic school year, and must have graduated from high school by August of the year of application.
Student art projects in our local schools often begin with the financial support of a Visual Arts Idea Grant from Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation. Each fall, teachers are invited to apply for financial assistance for visual arts related projects, field trips and curriculum based programming.
EAFF has a commitment to all the arts in our community and supports non-profit arts organizations through the Community Grants Program.
Perhaps the most visible items given by EAF Association and Foundation to the City of Edmonds are the Public Art pieces.
As a joint project of Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation and Edmonds Arts Festival Association, ArtWorks opened in February, 2004, with the mission to make the visual arts accessible to the local community and to provide a gathering place for artists.
